Little buddy

Awe, tears, he's growing up. This little guy is wonderful! He makes me laugh (and want to pull my hair out) every day. He turned two in July and it's fun to have him around.

I took him to his 2 year well child check and he's at the 75% for height and just under 50% for weight. He seems to have gigantic feet and a large noggin as well. His flaming red hair is calming down a little bit, not sure if it's because of the sun or because he is turning into a strawberry blonde. I love his big blue eyes with just a touch of green around the pupil (like his daddy's).

Fun facts about Finn lately. He loves singing songs. Each night I'm surprised at the words he understands as we're singing to him. I took a video of him singing the "ABC song" as he is pounding on his abacus, but I don't know how to post it. If someone has tips, then let me know. He still has an amazing vocabulary and tries to speak in full sentences. I still don't understand all of it, but I think he does pretty well. He goes up and down stairs without holding on anymore. He doesn't like the swing, but he could basically live in the park. Every day he asks to go out to the sandbox. And now he is expressing his desires a little more by grabbing our clothes and pulling us toward what he wants to do. Each morning he watches mommy and daddy going to work. He likes to ride to the end of the parking lot in the front passenger seat of daddy's car before he goes to work. He is developing an attention span and can watch at least 30 minutes of a movie if he is actually interested. His latest loves are Lion King, Kung Fu Panda, Tarzan, Jungle Book, and Aristocats. His diet is still a little limited. But he loves most kinds of fruit, eggs, cheese, pasta and bread. He also has added fish, chicken, and a little hamburger to his protein tastes. I asked James what he likes about Finn and he said the following: Daddy likes Finn's sweet voice, his bounce in his step, he is like a little wind up toy - no matter where you put him down, he immediately starts to run, he expresses himself really well, he has passion for life, he loves to play outside, he is very nice looking, he loves to dance, and he is daddy's buddy.
