Summer fun

Disclaimer: picture overload. Yep, I'm not a regular blogger, so I'm just going to catch up on the entire summer. We've had a great and busy time. Lots of sports and sporting events, parties, hiking, and getting adjusted to a new schedule. Thanks to everyone who has helped us out. Unfortunately, I get to go back to work full time next week. Here are some pictures of our summer. Just the beginning of a new adventure!

Here's James in his "I'm confident" pants at the Real Salt Lake game for Pioneer Day. We went with his entire family and it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately the game ended in a very unsatisfactory tie, but there were fireworks afterwards. No matter how often I see fireworks, I'm still awed and impressed. If you take a look later in the pictures, you can notice that Finn has the same pants as his daddy :o) We're already working on his confidence level too...

Yes, I realize that this picture is blurry, but it is the only one of all three of us, and it was a fun picture. That was the soccer game on Pioneer Day.

Finn and dad on the massage chair. Finn likes his dad. Just ask James about his song sometime...

First road trip to Mt. Rushmore. It's a ridiculously long drive, but something that must be seen. It was really pretty when we got there. James, Zachary, Finn, and I decided on a spur of the moment to do this roadtrip before I started back to work. This is when Finn was one month old. He did pretty well if you ask James, if you ask me it was kind of tough. But fun, nonetheless.

Self-portrait of us on a drive up Payson canyon. It was beautiful! Nice Sunday afternoon jaunt.

We hiked to Donut Falls with my little sister and her kids. Nice to be out in nature. Finn does really well in his little carrier. He likes to keep walking though. As soon as I stop he usually starts fussing. He was awake the whole time. Apparently he's going to be an outdoorsman. He really seems to love being outside!

Bathtime!

Out of order, but back to our trip up to Mt. Rushmore. We also went to Devil's Tower while we were in the area. Such a cool mountain and if people haven't seen the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" this was the mountain that he kept sculpting out of potatoes and where the aliens came to visit. Kind of fun. The mountain is actually really huge. It's an old volcano and rises about 600 feet above the rest of the land.

Us at a night away from the kiddo at the BYU vs Washington game. Looks like we may have been privileged enough to see the only game they are going to win this season. Hopefully not though!

First camping trip. And yes, in a tent. Things went pretty well, in part because Finn is an amazing sleeper! He's been sleeping through the night since he was 7 weeks old. Here's to him doing that for the rest of his life :o) We went to Veyo with a bunch of friends and their families over Labor Day weekend. It was a busy weekend because that's also when we went to the BYU game. But, you may know that we like to keep busy. Can't have a moment's down time!

The most adorable little smile...ever! Yeah, you other parents may think differently, but you're wrong :o)

Just a cute pic of our little gentleman sporting Ralph Lauren (and no, we did not purchase it for him - not until he stops growing like a weed will I feel comfortable spending more money on something for him than I pay for myself).

Another hike up to Cecret Lake with my sister and her husband and kids. Aren't they good sports for playing with us so frequently. Sadly, they are moving to Connecticut
