2 months and 3 months

So, I thought I should document a little about Zoe before she turns 16! Going back to work has cramped my style a little bit and makes it more difficult to post. But I'm going to try so that my kids are able to see pictures when they were babies and know how much they are loved! I've sandwiched pics of Zoe between two of little Finn :o) The first is Finn's last picture in his crib before we turned it into a toddler bed. And the last is just a close-up of Finn. He either gets really close and wants to touch the camera or won't hold still. So, not exactly the most attractive of the little tyke, but it's totally his personality. Zoe at 2 months. At her well child check she is 13 pounds 11 ounces, and 24 inches (92% for weight and 75% for height). She's a big kid! As a two month old she was just learning to smile socially. She has always smiled and laughed in her sleep, but now is becoming interactive. She is not the best sleeper. She still wakes up every 2-3 hours at night to eat and occasionally will go 4-5 hours which thrills me to no end! She is finally outgrowing her tummy aches and is returning to being peaceful during the waking hours without being constantly held. She now burps after eating. We left her with a babysitter once this month so we could go to a movie with friends. She did great! 3 months old and getting cuter every day! Still not a whole lot of exciting things for everyone else, but for me she's growing miraculously. She is getting better at sleeping and now goes for 4-5 hours at night. She did start this weird thing where it took 3 hours of rocking and putting her down, picking her up, rocking, and putting her down again before she would finally sleep for the night. It got pretty frustrating. So, I let her learn to put herself to sleep at night. Now bedtime is much better (after 5 or so minutes of crying) and she wakes up with huge smile on her face (she still loves me, even though I let her cry). Last night was a little miracle in and of itself. She slept 8 hours straight! I loved it :o) She now coos, laughs, and blows bubbles all of the time. She is always trying to sit forward - hence the picture with the stuffed animals. I couldn't get her to hold still, so I just snapped one. She absolutely detests tummy time. Hopefully she will learn to roll over because I am a big wimp and don't make her stay on her tummy very long when she hates it so much. She goes to bed around 8:30 pm, wakes up between 2-4 am to eat, and then wakes up again around 6 or 7. She stays awake well for 2 hours at a time and then gets a little ornery. She loves going for walks, but now prefers to look forward. She is also a really good car sleeper. I must say that one of the things I love about her at this stage is that when she wakes up she does so happily. I can hear her making noise and I walk in the room and she has a big smile for me! (My first little boy always woke up crying, it was so sad!)
