8 months old

And thrilled about it! We went on a bike ride to celebrate :o)







This blog is just for me. So that I can remember when Finn was little. He's just about the best baby you can imagine. Usually smiling, unless you leave the room and then he starts to whine. For some crazy reason, he doesn't like being left alone. Finn at 8 months is about 27.5 inches long and 20.5 pounds. He really hasn't gained much weight since he was 5 months old, but he's still quite the chunk! He has cute red hair and is getting more of it daily. His eyes are still a beautiful blue. He loves to stand and jump but isn't moving or crawling yet. He kind of scoots himself backward a little and is starting to put his leg up under him. He will stand himself up when you hold onto his hands, but has yet to do it without human contact. He rolls like a maniac. He really wants to be mobile and likes to do right handed turns. He'll keep going all the way across our bed if we'd let him. He sleeps through the night from about 8pm to 6am then has a bottle and goes back to bed for another hour or two. He stays awake for about 3 hours at a time during the day so usually takes 2-3 naps a day. Jabbers like a champ, but no real words yet :o) He loves eating baby food and is getting better at chewing. He loves playing with and eating cheerios and puffs. He is a very mellow baby and is content doing whatever we are doing, whether that's dining with friends at a restaurant, going to the movies, watching daddy play tennis, going on bike rides or walks, or hanging out in the house. That's a pretty good start. Amazing how much you can love one little person! So happy to have my 8 month old :o)
