Okay, so this isn't a first, but it was really pretty. We were planning to walk around Silver Lake but when we got up there, there were over 6 inches of snow on the ground and we weren't wearing the right kind of shoes. So we just drove down and walked along Parley's trail. Little Finn had the cutest little rosy nose and cheeks after our walk!
Finn's first Christmas tree (before the decorations) and his first time wearing headphones.
Christmas tree after the decorations. Yep, I did decorate it, approximately two weeks before Thanksgiving. That was actually a first for me. I'm usually one of those people that believes Thanksgiving deserves it's own time and never consider Christmas til it's over, but I couldn't wait this year :o)
First Jazz game. As you can see, he really enjoyed it :o) He actually stayed awake and was fascinated by all the lights and movement through most of the first 2 quarters, and then he fell asleep during halftime. He did great! The headphones definitely helped. He was bothered at all.
We also took him to his first broadway production this past week. Kingsbury Hall was the venue for "Frog and Toad" which is a musical and it was put on for children by children (from the age of 7-17 years old). We ended up getting free tickets at the last minute and they allowed children. Luckily it was only an hour long. Pretty fun weekend! Among his other firsts are his first taste of real baby food. So far it's been peaches and peas. Yummy :o) And tonight is the first night I'm going to let him fall asleep on his own. Hopefully we have the strength to let him cry it out. I'm worried. I hate hearing him cry! Wish us luck.
Good luck! It's a rough few nights, but worth it in the end.
